![]() < back | Online Store > The words, “Lethal Edge”, were first used by a friend to describe the incredible sharpness of the knives made by legendary knifemaker Ernest Emerson, the first superstar of the knife world. Ernest Emerson has gone on to create a world renowned reputation, and it grew to be more than just about knives. Much more. Emerson, whose incredible designs became a must have item within the circles of the worlds most elite military units became known as the Rolex of knives and, as “de rigueur”, quickly grew into a highly sought after symbol of status among the worlds rich and famous. The words, Lethal Edge, grew to represent the life style and attitude of the maker, Emerson, who has never backed down from any fight, philosophically or physically, and was known to have physically beaten several rivals and others who had disparaged him or his art. This notorious reputation spread rapidly and added greatly to the mystique of Emerson, his knives and the way he lived. Most people did not know that he was one of the worlds most highly regarded hand-to-hand combat instructors, who taught his brutal fighting techniques to Military Units, Navy SEALs and some of the highest tier, secret, counter-terrorist operators in the world. “The Lethal Edge”, became a slogan used, emblazoned and even tattooed on soldiers and civilians alike who sought to identify with the tough, man-to-man idea of justice that it came to represent. “You have to put this stuff on shirts”, was a comment constantly heard by Emerson about the ideas and philosophies he espoused at the many seminars and training programs that he was instructing. So, it was the obvious next step to take these philosophies, these ideas, and this identity, to the people who asked for it. Lethal Edge Brand Clothing and Apparel was formed to bring these ideals and designs to the public. Designs that appeal to the rugged individual, those that believe in the American ideals of right and wrong and to men who, without hesitation, are willing to back up their convictions with their blood and fists.
